Savannah's Movies

Some great movies have been shot in Savannah including "The Conspirator". Many of the scenes were shot at Fort Pulaski National Monument. The Fort made a beautiful location. Nothing can beat the realism of the real thing. Although, the setting of the movie is Washington, D.C., Savannah transformed itself extremely well into that city.

One can hardly write about Savannah's movies without mentioning "Forrest Gump." We all know of the famous park bench located in Chippewa Square. The shrimp boat scenes were shot in neighboring South Carolina.

Another Savannah favorite is the "The Legend of Bagger Vance." Many locations around Savannah are seen in the movie including the Federal Court House, Madison Square and the Lucas Theatre.

I have briefly mentioned three movies and there are many many more. Do you love the movies filmed here? Please comment and let me know.
